Presidents Report-Ryan Cates:

VP: Matt Stenger- We have been attending our weekly check in meetings that occurs every Wednesday for MSH. We have been discussing the radio situation about the problems and possible solutions to fix the radio system. What we are being told is they have a problem with the server MNIT installed so they are removing it to install a server Bearcom built. We should have more information after this switch over is complete. We also attended the CBHH Rochester and CARE Saint Peter meet and confer this month, these meetings happen once every three months.

VP: Eric Hesse-

Executive Board: Jake Schoenecker- I talked with many members about the union dues and gave information on what the Union does for all members.  Nothing further to report.

Executive Board: Chief Steward Emilio Florez- We had a NEO AFSCME Presentation this week for our new employees, everything went well pizza, pop, and lanyards were provided.  Newly signing members also asked for the possibility of getting shirts to wear for work.

We got the opportunity to go to Rochester for CBHH and CARE Labor and Management Meeting.  We were able to do a site visit afterwards and meet with AFSMCE members.  This went well we gathered information and answered questions for employees.

I’ve also had a couple grievances and have schedule a couple investigations in MSH.  Our officers and Stewards have been doing a good job in making sure we have representation when needed.

We are working on scheduling more regularly site visits with all programs as well as attending more staffing meetings.  This will give employees more access to our resources and we can be there in person to answer questions or concerns.

Executive Board: Chief Steward Steve Wilking-

Executive Board: Chief Steward Mike Homer-

Executive Board: Chief Steward Marvin Sullivan-Hello all, I have been busy this month sitting several investigations.  Several in regards to ETL usage.  Be sure to have enough accruals before using time off.  I continue to answer questions in regards to the contract.  Continue to be on the safety committee and attend those meeting.  Feel free to reach out to me if you have concerns.

In Solidarity,

Marvin Sullivan

Executive Board: Jamie Sheppard- I attended this month’s MSOP Meet and Confer meeting and I was unable to make it to the e-board meeting and general membership meeting due to having to work and change in date.  I’ve been answering a lot of questions about the Janus case, contract questions, and NOCS going to 8 hour shifts.  Still continue to forward on all of your grievances to me so they can be tracked. Thank you! In Solidarity, Jamie Sheppard, E-Board

CS Facility Support: Stacey Mueller-I have started to collaborate with another staff who is very proficient in making surveys.  We are starting to collect ideas for a survey to see how satisfied staff are with our Union.  We are seeking questions/answers in directions they would like to see the Union go.  Ideas that may be included in this survey are Janus, Contract Negotiations, Suggestions for Contract amendments, Future of Electronics in the Union i.e., electronic voting, meetings, attendance, ballot voting. Safety and job satisfaction and how the Union is dealing with these issues with management will also be considered.  This will help the Union get a feel for the issues that are important to our members.  Look forward to this survey coming out this fall.

Chief Steward MSH / CRP / Nursing Nights: Kurt Crosby-

Crystal Kreklow: Post-Janus, Local 404 has not had anybody drop their membership. Council 5 wide, 380 plus people have become members that previously weren't since the Janus decision.

Motion to adjourn at 3:21pm. Made by Hesse, 2nd by Florez
