See MSH Meeting minutes. http://laborweb.afscme.org/sites/MN_C_5/local404?action=article&articlei...  AFSCME is fighting for what we want as titles not what management want.  Management is open to our suggestions. Send any suggestions to Tim Headlee. See MSOP Meeting Minutes http://laborweb.afscme.org/sites/MN_C_5/local404?action=article&articlei...

4. New Business: Need general membership vote for MOU for 24 in 48 rule. Exclusively left out 10 hour shifts.  Causing people to be inversed. Now includes 10 hour shifts to be 26 in 48 hour period. Cannot be forced to do more but you can volunteer. Vote taken at meeting. 11 Attendees: Vote For-12      Against-0

5. Old Business:

6. Items from the membership: Molly Kennedy would like vote to reimburse Shawn Kennedy 100 dollars for his work distributing sweatshirts to the membersip. 2nd by Kurt Crosby. Motion passed. HST feels as though they are starting from beginning with the new supplemental.  Reason is so outsiders cannot come in and take the days off.  Class seniority versus State Seniority. Top of pay scale is now higher. Keeping state seniority goes by state seniority except for bidding.  3rd round bidding is abundant right now which will allow for staff to bid.

7. Officer Reports

Presidents Report-Tim Headlee: Assisting with flyer drops. Working with CRP on grievances.  Assisting with different working titles.  Investigations.  Focused on ETL and workplace relations. Pushing working with MSOP as being more treatment than corrections.

VP-Matt Stenger: Looking for ideas for job titles.  Ideas are welcome.  We need to come up with something that does not have an equivalent on the outside that legislators and the public will look at and think we are overpaid.

VP- Eric Hesse: We have a Steward Training set up for Friday, November 18th that I’m excited for. I’m prepping a lot of stuff that I think will help people get a better understanding of some of the stuff stewards do. I encourage anyone that is seeking to get more involved in our union to try to make it to the class. On the MSOP front, we’re dealing with the on-going issue of staff shortages and pulling from one area to cover another. We are still trying to get management to commit to a set minimum amount of staff they need each shift. I’m still working on the issues in the HIMS Department. For more details, please see the MSOP Meet and Confer meeting minutes. On the grievance front, I’ve filed five step 3 grievances regarding various disciplines. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. In solidarity, Eric Hesse
